Readers' Choice: Vote for the Favorite Festival or Community Event

Patch readers nominated the best festival or community event in Catonsville, so vote to determine which one is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Arts festivals, parades, free concerts, community events--there’s plenty to do in Catonsville.

But we want to know which Catonsville-area festival is your favorite. Which one do you look forward to most? Which one do you never miss and round up your friends and family to attend?

Nominations were accepted on Catonsville Patch through July 9 and include:

Catonsville July 4th

Catonsville Arts and Crafts Festival

Frederick Road Fridays

Oella Fall Festival

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Is it fair to have the parade count in this category? It's sooo big after all. But then again, I know there's a less vocal group of people around town who don't like the parade. Maybe they'd vote for other events and it could be considered a fair fight...

Lithuanian Festival. Always in May, at the Armory, people come from all over the country for this one! Great music, dancing and food and Vitinta!
But I love Lurman in the summer.

The Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks is the BEST part of Catonsville. Let's hope that the powers that be will find a way to preserve both as we head into the future. Catonsville without the Parade would be like Christmas without the presents! or Ocean City without the beach. Let's fix this. We need an annuity that will pay for the parade and fireworks forever!

It's impossible to vote for just one. The nominees (and the absent Lurman Woodland Theatre) all contribute substantially to quality of life in Catonsville!
