Reader Comment of the Week: ‘Everyone Has a Piece of Truth’

Reader comments on Baltimore County Patch sites this week ranged from the blunt to the sublime.

Readers took their opinions to Baltimore County Patch sites this week, commenting most on posts about the threat of literalism, an Owings Mills grad facing terrorism charges and Vehicles for Change relocating from the Relay neighborhood to Howard County.

The Threat of LiteralismWhat a wonderful post! The longer I live, the more I see that 'everyone has a piece of the truth' (Gandhi), and that the world is ever so much more complicated than I ever thought. I found comfort in a certain fundamentalism of thought in my younger days, but have come to see that there is no black and white, no one way to see any position in a discussion, and that everyone is doing the best they can to deal with the anxiety of modern life, its ambiguity and their own ambivalence.” – Vickie Lord

Owings Mills High School Grad Faces Terrorism Charges "Wow, I graduated in class of '99, just looked him up my yearbook. He was in my homeroom." - Amanda Levin, via Facebook.

Vehicles for Change Hitting the Road "I'm not a resident of Relay, but was it that awful what this organization was doing? I mean....really, he was helping people make a better life. Is it that important that the entrance is *pretty*?" -  Debbie Thorpe

Ex-Raven Lewis Arrested Following Traffic Stop "We all talk about the great Ravens, the NFL and how wonderful they are to their players (past and present?) Here is a former player who seems to be destitute with a multitude of problems! Where is the network? the compassion and the help? How about all of those fans and don't forget the churches with their multitude of programs? Can someone please help? I will certainly reach out to Mr. Lewis! How about you?" - Momofmany
