UMBC MFA Graduates' Thesis Exhibition Features Imaging and Digital Arts
UMBC's annual MFA Thesis Exhibition, this year featuring works by five graduates begins April 4 and continues through April 20.
The annual MFA Thesis Exhibition begins Thursday, April 4. Join the campus for an opening reception with the artists beginning at 5 p.m. in UMBC's Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture.
This exhibition, featuring the work of UMBC's graduate students in the Visual Arts Department completing their degree, is a collection of pieces selected as representations of their art practice. Chosen works depict the culmination of their unique experiences in the dynamic and challenging MFA program. Graduates this year include Kristen Anchor, Mieke Gentis, Katie Heater, Gianfranco Mirizzi and Steve Yeager who've created pieces in time-based media, photography, performance and more.

The MFA Thesis Exhibition continues through Saturday, April 20.
Admission to this exhibition, and to its opening reception, is free and open to the public. The Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in the Fine Arts Building. Free parking is available.
