The Arc of Baltimore Names Charlestown an Employer of Distinction

 The Arc Baltimore, in partnership with the Baltimore Business Journal, has named Charlestown retirement community an Employer of Distinction. The award recognizes Charlestown’s contributions to the Baltimore metropolitan community and those whom The Arc Baltimore supports – specifically the employment of Andrea Bernhard and Amy Struder. 

“The Arc of Baltimore has provided two great employees, Amy and Andrea,” said Dennis Dawson, a restaurant manager at Charlestown. “Amy and Andrea have helped increase resident satisfaction in our Continuing Care dining room by providing outstanding customer service.  We are grateful for  The Arc of Baltimore for their continuous support and for referring two exceptional team members.” 

The Employer of Distinction Award was created to honor companies that have demonstrated that employing people with developmental disabilities has contributed to their company’s success.
