Charlestown Marks a 20 Percent Increase in Apartment Home Settlements in 2013

Charlestown retirement community marked a 20 percent increase in apartment home settlements  in 2013,  a year that saw more than 300 people moving into the community.

A total of 211 apartments was settled during the year with 276 people joining the Priority List, an increase of 8 percent over the prior year. In addition, Charlestown opened a total of 55 newly renovated apartments.

“At least 97 percent of our apartments homes are now spoken for,” said Sales Director Don Grove. He said people moved to Charlestown from Catonsville, Arbutus, Halethorpe, Ellicott City, and as far away as Texas and Arizona.

Charlestown has a wide a variety of floor plans and refundable entrance deposits that range from $72,000 - $585,000. Monthly fees range from $1,440 - $2,570. More than 2,000 people live at Charlestown, which is managed by Erickson Living.
