Wednesday Farmers Market Report: Plenty of Fall Vegetables Available

The Wednesday Farmers Market is today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fall is officially here and at the Wednesday Farmers market in Catonsville you can find many new vegetables in season.

Today at the market you will find, cabbage, chinese cabbage, broccoli, fall squash, apples, eggplant, potatoes, onions, cauliflower, peppers and Indian corn. The market will also have fresh eggs, locally raised chicken, beef, pork as well as mums and asters.

Customers can now use credit or debit cards at the market. Customers can pay for a certain dollar amount of items, and in exchange get wooden tokens they can then use as "cash" with vendors. The tokens do not expire, so if a customer doesn't spend a certain amount, he or she can use it the following week.
