Sweet Frog Yogurt Opens in Catonsville

Store is at Route 40 and North Rolling Road by the Starbucks.

Sweet Frog Yogurt Shop opened its doors to the public on Friday afternoon with promises of great customer service and high quality frozen yogurt and toppings.

This is the Virginia-based chains first store in Maryland, said Catonsville store manager Aimee Larsen. The store is at the intersection of North Rolling Road and Baltimore National Pike by the . The store has 14 employees.

The company is owned by three families and now has locations up and throughout the south, including Virginia, Florida and South Carolina.

Larsen said she thinks the Catonsville store will do well. She and her family relocated to Catonsville two months ago to get the store ready to open.

"All of the stores we have opened have been blessed tremendously," she said.

Catonsville resident Deirdre Gibbons and her daughter 11-year-old Carly Gibbons were some of the first few customers in the door.

The two praise the flavor of the yogurt and the variety of toppings that are available.

"It's delicious," Carly said. "I think it has a richer flavor than any other yogurt."
