New Cabela's Store Coming To Mid-Atlantic Region

A retail store for the outdoor chain has been announced near the Baltimore metro area.

Maryland's outdoor and hunting enthusiasts won't have to wake up before dawn just to go hunting for gear anymore.

A new Cabela's retail store is coming to Christiana, DE. The store would be just a 75-minute commute up Interstate 95 from Baltimore—the closest of the popular franchise's stores to the region.

According to a news release on the company website, constuction on the 110,000-square-foot store will begin in 2013, with a grand opening slated for 2014.

It will be built adjacent to the shopping center in Christiana.

Currrently, a store in Hamburg, PA is the closest to the area—two-and-a-half hours from Baltimore.

WOW Gil..sounds like you work the OWE'Malley admin. I'm not going to Del to purchase power, drink the water or fix the roads. Try and sell it anyway you like..it is much cheaper to purchase items in Del. Oh, BTW, check out how much better the payouts are at the casinoes as opposed to MD.

How much in gas and tolls is it costing me to save 6%? I don't like OweMalley either but I would have to weigh my savings... I guess if it was a shopping excursion but I don't see me heading there for one item....

In what parallel universe is Harrisburg two and one-half hours from Baltimore? Maybe during rush hour, but then, the trek up I 95 is no picnic at rush hour. Assuming the speed limit and no traffic jams, York is a bit over an hour from Baltimore going up 83. Add another half hour or so to Harrisburg. Who came up with 2 1/2 hours?

Hamburg PA not Harrisburg. Hamburg is west of Allentown. There is no easy way to get there from here.
