Sunday Farmers Market Report: Peaches and Blackberries

Here's a list of what some vendors will have at today's market in Catonsville.

Today at the Sunday Farmers Market, you can get lots of fresh fruit, as well as many other delectables.

The market is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. behind Friendly's on Frederick Road.

LeHigh View Farms will have cantaloupe, tomatoes, peaches, plums, sweet corn, green beans, eggplant, zucchini, squash, sweet peppers and hot peppers. They also have pasture-raised beef and cheese.

Beechwood Orchards will have yellow andwhite peaches, nectarines, and donut peaches. They will have several varieties of plums, blueberries, onions, garlic, shallots, maybe some apricots as well as blackberries.

Chez G authentic bakery will have the following breads: pumpernickel with raisins and walnuts, whole wheat with walnuts, and a good multigrain loaf. Their pastries include an almond croissant with a rich almond filling, chocolate croissants, assorted danishes, traditional palmier (or "elephant ears") and turnovers, cinnamon buns, and different offerings that may change from week to week.

The Baltimore Waffle Company will have cast iron sugar waffles in the Belgian tradition. Their toppings include powdered sugar and homemade chocolate sauce (a mixture of dark, semi-sweet and Nutella) and homemade strawberry sauce (made with fresh local strawberries).
