Farmers Market Report: Blueberries, Raspberries and Cabbage Today

A new system is in place for processing debit and credit card transactions.

Today at the Wednesday Farmers Market on Bloomsbury Avenue, customers can get blueberries, raspberries, beans and cabbage.

Also this week, customers can use credit or debit cards at the market. The way it works is the customer can pay for a certain dollar amount of items, and in exchange get wooden tokens that they can use as cash for the vendors. The tokens do not expire, so if a customer doesn't spend a certain amount, they can use it the following week.

The market is located at 106 Bloomsbury Avenue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
