Movie Being Filmed in Catonsville

Better Living Through Chemistry will wrap up shooting on Friday or Saturday.

Catonsville's tree-lined residential streets are serving as the backdrop for yet another movie, Better Living Through Chemistry, starring Olivia Wilde, Jane Fonda, Judi Dench and Ray Liotta.

The independent film is expected to be released next year.

The film crew is expecting to wrap up in Catonsville either Friday or Saturday. Filming has been going on in Maryland for the past several weeks, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The movie is about a pharmacist who has an affair with a customer.

Paul Davis, a line producer with the production company Bishop Varney Productions, told Patch Wednesday that most of the film has been shot in and around Annapolis.

had photos of actor Sam Rockwell doing scenes in downtown Annapolis recently.

Davis said some of Catonsville's residential streets have served as the film's backdrop, including Beaumont Avenue. The director, Davis said, had a particular vision for what the neighborhood should look like.

Catonsville, he said, matched their criteria.

The film crew has been staging at , but has been shooting on residential streets around Old Catonsville between Frederick Road and Edmondson Avenue.

Catonsville has been used by film crews before, including a Carmax commercial in 2010 and in January.
