Get Out: August 19th - 21st

Find the fun and great fundraisers this weekend

When/Where: August 19th, Triangle Ln. & Reedie Dr, Wheaton, MD 20902 (Wheaton Triangle)

Why Go? Watch Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story gang go on another adventure in the third installment of the blockbuster franchise. We know these movies have made billions of bucks at the box office; but this time, you and your family can relax on a blanket and enjoy a free viewing--assuming the kids don’t demand action-figures.

Pricing: FREE

When/Where: Friday, August 19th 10:30 am – 11:30 am , 1400 Glenallan Ave, Wheaton, MD 20902.

Why Go? The youngsters will learn the importance of blazing their own trail by carving out a custom-made, kid-sized nature path. We’ll have to just wait and see if they let the grown ups use it.

Pricing: $5, Ages 3-12

When/Where: Daily 10:00 am – 12:00 am (runs through Aug 20th) Montgomery County Fairgrounds 16 Chestnut St, Gaithersburg, MD 20877

Why Go? The Fair ends Saturday, so hurry down there before the biggest consolidation of summer fun vanishes.

Pricing: General Admission $10, Children 11 and under FREE

When/Where: Friday, August 19th 9:00 pm-11:00 pm 9401 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814

Why Go? Swimming at night, popcorn, soda, and everybody watching Rio on a big screen--this could get messy! It won’t be fun cleaning kernels out of the filters the next morning, but “Moonlight Swim and Movie Night” should be a blast. So bring your family, favorite floats, and enjoy the show/swim.

Pricing: FREE to YBCC Members, $10 for single guest, $20 for guest family of four

When/Where: Saturday, August 20th 9:00 am 11418 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20852 (North Bethesda Market Tower)

Why Go? Support local firefighters as they climb 110 stories to honor their colleagues who died in The World Trade Center on 9/11. Proceeds from this mountain of a marathon go to The IAFF Burn Foundation.

Pricing: FREE; donations can be made to High Rise Firefighter Stair Climb.
