Five Things You Need to Know About Words and Wine at the Catonsville Library
The annual event serves as a fund-raiser for the Friends of the Catonsville Library.

1. Details: The event is Friday at 7 p.m. at the . It is expected to end around 9 p.m.
2. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the library or at the door the evening of event. Tickets are $25.

3. The event will feature 15 authors, including four Catonsville residents. Michael Collier is a former poet laureate of Maryland and teaches at the Creative Writing program at the University of Maryland. Louis Diggs has written 10 books chronicling the history of the black community around Baltimore. Two other Catonsville authors that will be there are Tom Flynn, author of Baseball in Baltimore and Marsha Wight-Wise, the author of books containing historical images of Catonsville. Three new authors will also be in this year's event, including Jill Jonnes, James Magruder and Madeleine Mysko.
4.Food and drinks will be provided by the Wine Bin in Ellicott City, and .

5. Funds raised from the event have gone to projects such as restoring an old chromolithograph titled "Panoramic View of the Scenery on the Patapsco River for 7 miles above and below Ellicott Mills."
