Spring is in full swing and Catonsville is full of great activities for the weekend. From a 5k to an open house of a historic Catonsville building to Free Comic Book Day, there is so much to do!

Why Go: Run or walk this 5k course, which benefits the home for neglected and abused children.


Cost: $30 on race day

Where/When: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance at 8020 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City.

Why Go: The park is hosting its first-ever fair to let people know about ways to help out in the park.

Cost: Free admission if you are pre-registered

Where/When: Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 701 Frederick Road. 

Why Go: Curious about the renovations going on at the corner of Frederick Road and Bloomsbury Avenue? Come by and see for yourself at an open house with wine and snacks from Atwater's.

4. FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AT COSMIC COMIX

Where/When: Saturday at Cosmic Comix, located at 87 Mellor Avenue.

Why Go: Why miss out on your chance to have specially designed free comic book.

Why Go: This family-friendly event will feature a camping theme as you learn how to tell time by the moon.
