Sara VanDerBeek, artist lecture

UMBC presents artist Sara VanDerBeek, whose work is featured in the exhibition Image Transfer: Pictures in a Remix Culture, on display at the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture through December 10.

VanDerBeek is a New York-based artist who creates photographs of multimedia assemblages consisting of personally significant objects and layered images. Her work has been featured in a number of group and solo exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and Bilbao, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the International Center of Photography, New York. Her work is represented by Metro Pictures in New York.

4 - 5 p.m., Center for Art Design and Visual Culture. Admission is free.
