Bongo Jazz, More Bands, Bring Joy to 'Frederick Road Fridays'

Frederick Road Fridays' Aug. 2 concert featured the band D'Vibe & Conga.

Even overcast skies and light drizzling rain didn't stop residents from jamming with this week's band at Frederick Road Fridays.

With only four more free summer concerts left of the summer, about 60 Catonsville residents danced, sipped beer and listened to the D'Vibe & Conga band at the Mews on Mellor Avenue on Friday night.

Did you catch that? The band names sounds like "divide and conquer."

The bongo jazz band featured woodwinds, guitars, drums and more.

Partnered with local organizations, the Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce holds free concerts featuring local bands every Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with proceeds of each concert benefitting a different organization.
