You’re Invited: Patch Blogger Party

Go to Bateman's in Reisterstown to meet some Patch editors and talk about blogging.

On May 4, Catonsville Patch opened up online space for area bloggers.

Tonight, we are inviting the community from several Baltimore County Patch sites to meet in person at Bill Bateman’s Bistro, 102 Chartley Drive, in Reisterstown. This is an opportunity to learn about blogging for Patch sites in Catonsville, Reisterstown, Owings Mills or Arbutus.

The social starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until about 7:30 p.m., with snacks provided, so get there early!

In short, blogging is not reporting. Instead, you write what you want to say, when you want. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month. Plus, Patch won't own what you post, so you can use your work to post on blogs. Similar to the The Huffington Post, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.

Patch editors at tonight's gathering will be recruiting and inviting community members to blog for their sites. We'd love to meet you to hear about what moves you to write.
