What You Need To Know Today: Roads Edition

Several traffic and construction projects are in full swing this week.

There has been a lot of construction and traffic news recently that's affected Catonsville.  Here's what's going on that you need to know.

1. If you travel on Baltimore National Pike between Catonsville and the city, you'll want to watch out for paving and road repairs starting in the city and extending to the Westview area at Ingleside Avenue. Lanes may be closed or shift any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information, go to the State Highway Administration website.

2. Also this week, construction on the Frederick Road bridge will impact the Baltimore Beltway, as protection shields will be placed under the bridge. For more details on lane closures, go .

3. SHA also is involved with improving traffic and pedestrian safety along South Rolling Road, and is holding a community meeting on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Elementary School to share potential ideas with the public. For more details, go .
