When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Patapsco State Park
Why Go: You're favorite store—REI. Your favorite snack—jerky. Your favorite movie—127 Hours. And in a competition between Les Stroud and Bear Grylls, you know there's no competition. You were made for this class.

When/Where: Saturday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 8173 Main Street Ellicott City
Why Go: Meet artist Matt Klos and view his works featuring Rochefort-en-Terre, France. Klos painted from dawn to dusk for five weeks with four other resident artists during a summer spent in Brittany. This show will display the highlights of those works.

When/Where: Sunday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 815 Frederick Road
Why Go: This weekend you conquered the outdoors, found some lovely new treasures and took in some fine art. Now, it's time to relax and enjoy the sounds of guitar while sipping coffee when Bob Margolis and his students play a free show.
