Storyteller To Weave Tales at Charlestown
Bill Grimmette will present "Empowering Stories from the King Years: How America Was Made a Better Democracy by the Rebellion of a King" Thursday afternoon at the retirement community.
Storyteller Bill Grimmette will do a presentation Thursday at the Charlestown retirement community.
Grimmette is scheduled to present Empowering Stories from the King Years: How America Was Made a Better Democracy by the Rebellion of a King, from 1-2:15 p.m., according a press release from the community's website.
It's part of a program on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and will be held at the Erickson Conference Center at Charlestown, free of cost. It's open to the public.

Arbutus Middle School students have also been invited to attend the event.
Grimmette, according to the press release, is a past president of the National Association of Black Storytellers and regularly performs at places such as the Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Institutions.
