Still Recovering from Irene? Here's What You Need to Know

Thousands of Catonsville residents are still without power and many trees still need to be cleared.

It's hard to believe just a week ago today we had an earthquake that struck the East Coast. And a week later we're dealing with actual devastation from Hurricane Irene.

Power outages: Unfortunately, the on the power outages is not good news. BGE that a majority of the outages would be restored by Friday.

Fallen trees: To report a fallen tree in Baltimore County, call 410-887-3560. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said the county will take care of any trees in public right of ways (on fallen lines are BGE's responsibility). On private property, the county is asking residents to call their insurance company or hire a removal service. To find a tree service, you can use this search tool on the Department of Natural Resources website.
