Last-Minute Stocking Stuffers: Catonsville Car Magnets

If you walk through downtown Catonsville today and see a "Life is Great in 21228" bumper sticker magnet, it's OK to take it.

Members of We Love Catonsville came up with the slogan and the magnets. Members of the group have been placing them on magnetic surfaces along Frederick Road, including the music note bicycle racks, newspaper boxes and signs.

So far, the magnets have been popular, as nearly all of the 50 placed out on Wednesday were gone by Thursday morning. But Karen Gatzke, a member of We Love Catonsville, said more will be out for the taking on Thursday afternoon.

The slogan came to Gatzke as she was trying to rhyme something with the area's ZIP code: 21228.

The magnets are also available at Atwater's Bread, and the office, all on Frederick Road.
