Aging Matters: Helpful Answers to Complex Questions about Growing Older
As baby boomers reach retirement, they, their children and their communities are seeking resources to support healthy aging and vibrant senior living. Beth Israel Congregation will host “Aging Matters: Helpful Answers to Complex Questions about Growing Older” on Sunday, March 27, 2011. This education and resource fair offers seniors, their family members, caregivers and the broader community fresh perspectives on growing older in Baltimore.
Keynote speaker Dr. William H. Thomas will present “Eldertopia: the Rise of a New Old Age.” Dr. Thomas is an award-winning international authority on eldercare and geriatric medicine, founder of the Eden Alternative and Green House Project, and professor at UMBC’s innovative Erickson School. Other sessions will discussion legal and financial planning for seniors and managing care for elders with memory loss.
