Maryland's list of popular baby names for 2010 is released.
Maryland differed a little from the national trend of the baby names Jacob and Isabella for 2010. In the state, Jacob grabbed the top spot for the boys but Sophia was the No. 1 choice for girls.
For 2009, the top choices in the state were Michael and Madison. For 2010, the 10 most popular boy names were: Jacob, Joshua, Michael, Noah, Ethan, Mason, Ryan, Daniel, Alexander and Jayden. For girls the 10 most popular names were: Sophia, Madison, Olivia, Isabella, Abigail, Ava, Emma, Chloe, Emily and Elizabeth.
