Despite the Rain, Catonsville Hosts Easter Egg Hunts

Saturday was a day of finding treats as well as celebrating with friends and family.

Catonsville hosted two Easter egg hunts on Saturday.

At St. Timothy's Church in Baltimore County, Tim and Donna Anderson, along with Father Terry Sweeney and his wife Olivia, organized this year's hunt.

Over at the Lurman Woodland Theatre, the Catonsville Men's Civic Association hosted its annual event. The hill overlooking the stage was covered with pastel-colored eggs filled with prizes, stickers and candy.

As soon as the whistle was blown to start the hunt, the kids in their rain boots armed with baskets and paper bags started their trek up the steep hill.  Every bag, basket and pocket was filled within five minutes.
