Artist's Reception, Book Signing in Catonsville

Meet artist Jane Byers at the gallery at Atwater's on Dec. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Stop by Atwater's Bakery for some sweet goodies and you'll get an extra treat if you head upstairs to enjoy watercolor paintings of local scenes, florals and Eastern Shore views this month.

The paintings by Jane Byers are all for sale and she donates half of the proceeds to the CEFM Network, a local food ministry. Byers also published a coffee table art book for $25 (with all of the net profit going to charities) and said the book would be a great gift item.

"It includes commentary of thirty local gardeners which helps explain the paintings of their gardens I included in the book," wrote Byers in an email. "Catonsville has beautiful residential areas and I included gardens that caught my eye from over ten such neighborhoods. "

If you'd like to meet Byers in person, she will be at the gallery at Atwater's on Dec. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle for a drawing of one of the smaller paintings.
