This Weekend in Catonsville: It's Homecoming!

Ah, the weekend. It's nearly here. What's that you say? You haven't made any plans yet? Well, let Patch be your guide to all the events you won't want to miss this weekend in Catonsville.

1.

When/Where: Friday, 7 p.m., Catonsville High School

Why Go: Forget the show. This is the real Friday Night Lights. Come out and cheer for the home team as Catonsville faces off against Franklin.

When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m., CCBC Room D-003

Why Go: Did you know Catonsville had it's very own planetarium? You can check it out for free this weekend as the Astronomy program at CCBC traces the role of the Space Shuttles in deploying astronomical instruments, especially the Hubble Space Telescope, in this show.

Cost: Free

When/Where: Saturday, 4 p.m., Hilton Nature Center in Patapsco State Park

Why Go: Kids, do you love turtles? Have you ever wanted to try being one? Then join us for the turtle triathlon. Not only will there be races, kids will have a chance to make their own turtle craft. Just think of the photo ops!

Cost: $2 per child

When/Where: Saturday, 8 p.m., UMBC

Why Go: Join Catherine Cabeen and friends for a night of contemporary dance that is sure to expand your mind.

Cost: $15 general admission, $10 students/seniors

When/Where: Sunday, 2 p.m., Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Why Go: Eight-year-old Finnian McClain is giving his second benefit concert to raise money for CEFMN. That's right, he's eight. And this is his second concert to help others. How can you not go out to suport that?

Admission: Bring some canned goods and buy something at the bake sale. The money and canned food all go to a great cause.
