Charlestown Retirement Community has been selected as a finalist for Baltimore Business Journal's 2013 Best Places to Work Awards.
The finalists were selected based on results of regional employee surveys conducted among businesses during the summer. Charlestown's 1,150 employees participated in the survey process.
An October 17 Awards Ceremony will be held with winners in each size category will be announced at the event.

Charlestown has 2,300 residents and sits on 110 acres. It offers extensive wellness and prevention programs, balance assessment and fall prevention programs, and Fitness and Aquatics Centers. Also, there are more than 200 resident-inspired and resident-led clubs, committees and interest groups in these categories: art; cards; computers and technology; dance; faith-based and interfaith; fitness and sports; games; gardening; lifelong learning; music; literature, and philanthropy.
