10th Annual CHS XC Turkey Trot offers BIG Prize Money!

In honor of the race’s10th anniversary, Portalli's Restaurant of Ellicott City has sponsored an incredible prize package for our race winners:1st place overall male and female, $500 cash each, 2nd place overall $300, 3rd place overall $100 and also $50 gift cards for the1st place age group winner for each category.

CHS’s Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, held on Thursday, November 28th has become a family tradition for many in the greater Catonsville community.  In addition to the 5k Fun Run/Walk, a 1 mile kids races will be held.  The race course includes the Catonsville High School cross country course and nearby roads. 

“We are thrilled that Catonsville graduate and owner of Portalli’s Restaurant in Ellicott City, Evan Brown, is so generously supporting the 10th Annual Turkety Trot” commented Race Director Sandra Gallagher Mohler, “It’s absolutely amazing and the highest race money around!”

 MedStar Rehabilitation Health is the presenting sponsor and the Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle and C’Ville Hub are sponsors with  a host of local restaurants and businesses are providing awards for the annual raffle.

 The race put on by the Catonsville High School Cross Country Team supports the Cross Country team and S.A.D.D (students against Destructive Decisions), the Carol Brinks Saffron Memorial Scholarship Fund, Back on My Feet, Catonsville Fourth of July Celebration, and the Comets Booster Club.

Dr. William Heiser, Principal of Catonsville High School commented, "There isn't a better way to spend your Thanksgiving morning than participating in a great race to support our school and community.  I look forward to running the Turkey Trot for the first time."
