2. YOU SAID IT >> Is it safe to be a cyclist in Catonsville? Here’s one commenter’s take:

I am regular recreational cyclist (~3x per week) all year round, and I generally encounter courteous drivers, as long as I stay to the right, signal my intentions, and obey stop signs and traffic lights. My concerns are the cyclists who are too arrogant or unaware of their responsibilities as "vehicles" to obey traffic laws, and the few motorists who do not respect the right of cyclists to the road, and take unnecessary chances with our lives. The new negligent vehicular homicide law might help, but what is really needed is education on all sides. A major public service campaign using TV and social media would be a big help.
