Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About this column:

Fill in the Blank Catonsville is where you, the reader, answer one question every week about what you think, do or feel about the town.
We've all heard advice from our fathers over the years. Maybe when we were young, we rolled our eyes (I know I did). But now that we're hopefully older and wiser, we may look back at some of that advice and think it's some of the best we've ever heard. So, you tell us, what's the best piece of advice your father ever gave you?
For the Class of 2012, the time has come to receive that diploma, walk across the stage and start life in the adult world. Whether it's a college degree or a high school degree, the time has come to move onto the next stage of life for this year's graduating class. Patch would like to pass on some knowledge to the Class of 2012 readers, so we're asking you, what's your advice? Tell us in the comments below.
Happy Easter Catonsville! Whether you're spending the day in church, eating peeps or sharing a meal with loved ones, we wish you a wonderful day. Tell us what your favorite part about Easter is in the comments below.
As outdoor events begin to crop up and unusually warm temperatures remain, there is no denying it's officially spring time. Whether it's the Catonsville Rails to Trails spring bike ride, a favorite flower blossom or cleaning out the garage, we thought we'd ask what your favorite thing about spring in Catonsville is. So, fill in the blank: tell us what you're favorite thing is in the comments.
We wrote this morning about a paint-your-own pottery business opening up on Frederick Road. With several other vacancies on Frederick Road, we thought we'd ask you what type of business you would like to see on downtown Catonsville. So, fill in the blank: tell us what type you would like to see in the comments.
There are so many great places in Catonsville. Maybe you love to spend time on your front porch waving to neighbors, or sitting outdoors upstairs at Ship's Cafe in the summertime watching the goings-on along Frederick Road. Or maybe you sit atop a hill and have a little view of the city skyline, or a house that backs up to Patapsco Valley State Park. Whatever your spot is, tell us your favorite view. Have some fun!
We've had some fun recently with our newest feature Fill in the Blank. You've told us what your favorite weekend activity is in Catonsville and also how you know you're from Catonsville. Today, we thought we'd take the theme in a different direction, with gripes, pet peeves and things that bug you about living around here. We all know some people always have complaints and some people may use this forum for negative purposes. I'd like to encourage you to rat out your neighbors for the greater good. Is it the traffic? Parking issues? Or the fact that that most of the Frederick Road restaurants…
If you missed the inaugural post last Friday, you're in for a treat. Last week we asked readers to answer "you know you're from Catonsville when..." Readers responded in a big way, with 30 comments. This week, I thought we'd tackle weekend activities. When Friday, Saturday or Sunday rolls around, what's your favorite weekend activity? I know when the weather's nice on a Saturday, I like to walk the half-mile from my house downtown to Atwater's to get a latte and swing by Taneytown Deli on the way back for a breakfast sandwich. It's nice to have a quiet morning walk and start the morning off …
It seems that everyone is all about "stuff people say" video series. From rock climbers (my personal fave) to New Yorkers to Washington, D.C. residents, there's a lot of them floating around. Also on Patch, some of our neighboring sites have tried soliciting ideas for "you know you're from ___ when..." In Catonsville, I thought my loyal readers would have some fun with this one. We'll kick off the series with: You know you're from Catonsville when _________. Let's see who has the most entertaining, original or obvious answer. OK, go!
