You Tell Us: What Was Your Favorite Float in the Parade?

There were lots of great floats in this year's parade.

Every year, judges are standing throughout the crowd and determine the winner of several awards given out the by the Catonsville Celebrations Committee for the best float in the July 4th parade.

The judge's selections for this year will be released at a later time.

Last year's winners were:

Marie O'Dea Award: Northrup Grumman

Best School Entry: Catonsville Elementary

Best Business Entry: The Wine Bin

Best Community Organization: Catonsville Children's Theatre

Best Religious Affiliation: St. Mark School

Special Judges Awards: Liberty Showcase Theatre, Kinetic Sculpture Race Entries and SmartCoach (Taekwondo)

Mine isn't a float my favorite part of the whole parade is the helicopter fly over! It's great to watch all the kids expressions!

Gina, did that happen this year? Maybe I was on Montrose at the time and missed it. I thought the Wine Bin had a cool float and Oella as well. Either way, so many of the floats were impressive, and all those bands marching in the heat! Hats off to them!

I love the Kinetic Entries especially Bling Dynasty and Rumspringa (Amish Buggy). St. Mark had a good float. It was great to have the WeinerMobile back in this year.
O.K.. for next year, we need to have precision "Lawn Chair Drill Team". There are several examples groups who have done this on you tube.

I just looked through some of the photos and saw the excellent CES and MSJ floats. Love the Samaritan Women float. Lots of hard work went into that beautiful entry.

The Oella float was original and Jay Patel as Frances Scott Key, the best. Loved the Wine Bin and all the kinetic "floats"
