Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

You Know You're from Catonsville When...

Fill in the blank Catonsville!

It seems that everyone is all about "stuff people say" video series. From rock climbers (my personal fave) to New Yorkers to Washington, D.C. residents, there's a lot of them floating around.

Also on Patch, some of our neighboring sites have tried soliciting ideas for "you know you're from ___ when..."

In Catonsville, I thought my loyal readers would have some fun with this one. We'll kick off the series with: You know you're from Catonsville when _________.

Let's see who has the most entertaining, original or obvious answer. OK, go!

About this column: Fill in the Blank Catonsville is where you, the reader, answer one question every week about what you think, do or feel about the town. Related Topics: Catonsville, MD, and traits

I loved the "long champ sandwich" which was made with ham instead of a burger. I know it was a hangout spot but I never knew why the teens rode in circles around the restaurant. We used to have the school bus driver drop us off at Champs rather than go immediately home.

don't forget the "Varsity" Brian. that was the place to head out to before Champs. And love Cindy H - i've lived in the same house since 1979 - my maternal grandmother's since she passed away - and it is one house over from where i grew up in my parents' home. Have lived in Catonsville for 60 + years. And just about all my family live within a 10 miles radius too. it's great!
