We're halfway through the week and halfway through August. School starts in less than two weeks. Here's what you need to know for Wednesday.

Back to school shopping: Looking for ways to save during tax-free week? Check out this week's Frugal Family, which has all of the deals for you on clothes and backpacks for the kids.

Water main break: According to the Baltimore Sun, the water main break that closed North Rolling Road and Security Blvd. on Tuesday has been fixed.

Back to school preparation: On Tuesday, Baltimore County Public Schools started New Teacher Orientation at Catonsville High School. On Friday, Schools Superintendent Joe A. Hairston will address administrative officials and principals on the start of the school year.

In case you missed it: Catonsville Y officials believe the best way to solve the traffic problems on their property if they develop a medical building is to widen South Rolling Road. What do you think?

Don't touch Rolling Road. It's a hazard now for the local residents because of the cut-throughs, rush hour is 24 hours a day, they can't leave their driveways. It's a crime that those with $$ and big ideas are the ones that get their way. The developers say they have Catonsville's betterment in mind. Hogwash. The developers are ling their own pockets, destroying the landscape and piece and quiet of the town, then move on to another town to destroy it. Like a plague of locusts. There are plenty of other spots to put a medical center, empty buildings and strip malls are all around. Stand up Catonsville, fight for your hometown. defend it with everything you have. Today Rolling Road, tomorrow your street.

Rolling Road at Security Blvd is still closed. You have to cut through the parking lot where Panera Bread and Five Guys are located. I know this because our real estate office is located at the corner of Johnnycake and Rolling Rd.

Dottie, interesting, I drove through that intersection yesterday at about 3:30 p.m. and it was closed then. We'll have to check back later and see when it will be open. Thanks for sharing!
