UMBC is going to help the Baltimore Dance Project celebrate its 30th anniversary next week.
The school, located at 1000 Hilltop Circle in Catonsville, will host concerts of the Project on Feb. 7, 8 and 9, according to a press release.
These will be the first dance performances on the stage of the school's new Proscenium Theatre in the Performing Arts and Humanities Building, the release states.
Artistic directors and choreographers Carol Hess and Doug Hamby will lead the way with principal dancer Sandra Lacy set to be featured.
Hess is the UMBC Department of Dance chairman and associate professor. Hess serves as an associate professor of dance at UMBC while Lacy is a faculty member in that same department.
Each of the three shows is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start time. Tickets are available through MissionTix.
