I hate to say it, but the best wine stores are across the river in Howard County. Catonsville could use a good one!

Because it is convenient, Catonsville Liquors at 6124 Edmondson Avenue.

Maybe I should change the title to wine and liquor. I'm a bit of a beer snob so I often drive to the Perfect Pour in Columbia and stock up on lots different stuff, but I still use places in Catonsville when I need something right away.

RC Rogers has a great selection of wine and beer given the small size of their store.

Oakdale is great! They offer tastings and are very friendly.

Thanks, Heidi!!! For all those do not know, Oakdale is no longer a Pharmacy and is now solely a beer, wine and spirits shop. I'd love to nominate the store as best in Catonsville for service. We will be doing many more tastings as soon as the store is finally put together, and we will eventually be installing a dedicated wine tasting area. we do our best to stock any and all customer requests, as well as popular brands. I (Matt) have worked at the store the better part of 12 years, and left for several years to work at the wholesale level and use that experience at Oakdale Fine Wine & Spirits. I agree with CvilleHokie, Amanda and Penny that Rc Rodgers and Perfect Pour have great beer selections. We are MORE than happy to carry any brands of beer and wine that would make it more convenient to shop in Catonsville instead of having to travel to Howard County. While several Howard County shops have a heck of a wine selection, Oakdale's has come a long way in ten years from mostly jug wines and cheap spirits to quite a respectable selection built personally by me and customer recommendations, and, our prices are pretty dang good on the majority of products. All the stores have strengths and weaknesses...our goal is to become the premier Wine, Beer & Spirit destination in Catonsville!! Stop on by and ask for me. I'll be sure to take care of you. P.S. Oakdale Fine Wines & Liquors is by far the best liquor store in town. They have been able to provide me with everything that I have wanted for several functions recently. The management takes pride in providing customers what they are looking for. If they don't have a particular item in stock, they will order it and make sure that that item is on the shelves the next time the customer come in. The management is well versed in wines, beers and liquors that has come from years of experience. They offer not only the common items, but many hard to find items. If you have been traveling to Howard County for your needs, your missing out on a great store.
