Police have charged a 25-year-old man with a second-degree sex offense after a woman said he touched her inappropriately when she fell asleep at a Catonsville party early Nov. 11, according to a report.

Robert Charles Shumar, of Salt Lake City, attended a party on the 2100 block of Westchester Ave., where the 23-year-old victim fell asleep at around 1:30 a.m., according to police.

According to court records, Shumar has family in the Ellicott City area.

Shumar was held in Baltimore County Detention Center and released on $150,000 bond, according to court records.

A booking photo of Shumar was not available because of the Veteran's Day holiday.
