Local Schools Making Snowflakes To Support Newtown
The National PTA has asked for snowflakes to post in the school's new building.
Local schools started undertaking a project to help support the children at Sandy Hook Elementary School after last week's shooting tragedy.
Some schools in Catonsville have been making snowflakes for the Connecticut school as per the instructions of the National PTA.
The National PTA's website said that students from Sandy Hook Elementary, the scene of the shooting and massacre last week, won't be going back to that building when school starts again.
They'll be going back to a different building and that "parent-volunteers are working to ensure that the students are welcomed back by a winter wonderland with the entire school decorated with as many unique snowflakes as possible."
The National PTA wants people sending the snowflakes to be very creative and to make and send them by Jan. 12 to the Connecticut PTSA address at:
60 Connolly Parkway
Building 12, Suite 103
Hamden, CT 06514
