Kim Stringfellow Will Speak at UMBC Thursday
The event will take place Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 4.
Kim Stringfellow will speak on her work as a multimedia artist next week at UMBC.
The artist and educator scheduled to talk at 4:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 4. This is an event that was moved back from its original date of Nov. 1.
Stringfellow's work involves ecological, historical and activist issues involving land use and what's called the "built environment" through hybrid documentary forms. These include writing, digital media, photography, audio, video, installation and mapping.
She's presently an Associate Professor at the School of Art, Design and Art History at San Diego State University. Her photographic works involving the Californian Landscape have been on exhibit and featured in her two books that the Center for American Places published.
