Kaiser Permanente Doctor to Take Flu Questions on Twitter
The health care provider is opening a medical center in Arbutus this spring.

A Kaiser Permanente doctor will take questions about the flu from Twitter users in a Tuesday afternoon chat.
Dr. Susan Matcha, an infectious disease expert, will join Twitter users Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. on Kaiser Permanente's Twitter page and on the hashtag #kpmaschat.
Kaiser Permanente's South Baltimore County Medical Center will open in Arbutus this spring.
The number of flu reports in Maryland is the highest seen in several years. Earlier this month, one emergency room physician told Patch that Greater Baltimore Medical Center received the most flu reports it had seen since the H1N1 pandemic in 2009.
Nationally, 47 states report widespread flu activity, and hospitalizations are up compared with years past, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control. Twenty children have died of flu-related causes since October, according to the CDC.
