Crime Roundup: Several Armed Robberies in Catonsville

The following information is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following are summaries of incidents that occurred in Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Armed robbery: 2:32 a.m. on June 28. A man entered the 7-11 located on Frederick Road with a shotgun hanging out of his backpack and demanded money and cigarettes.

Armed robbery: 1:10 a.m. on July 1. A man entered the 7-11 located on North Rolling Road and approached the clerk, putting a handgun to his back and demanded money. The suspect also robbed two other customers and made them lie on the ground.

Armed robbery: Between 8:41 p.m. and 8:51 p.m. on June 29. A man entered the Comfort Inn on Baltimore National Pike and asked the clerk for a room. The suspect went to the bathroom and after he came back he asked for cash from the register. The suspect showed a handgun, walked behind the counter, placed the drawer on the floor and took cash.

First-degree burglary: Between 2 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on June 28. A Playstation 3, jewelry and $40 cash were stolen from a home on the unit block of Melvin Avenue. The suspect entered the home through a kitchen window.

Second-degree burglary: Between 1:33 a.m. and 1:35 a.m. on June 27. Someone used a a tool to cut off the front door lock to get inside Charring Cross Liquors on Baltimore National Pike. The alarm sounded, apparently scaring away the intruders, and nothing was taken.
