Baltimore Man Charged in Saturday Stabbing

Christopher Michael Wolfe is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

A Baltimore man is charged with first-degree murder following a Saturday morning stabbing outside an Essex bar.

Christopher Michael Wolfe, 21, of the 2400 block of Wilkens Avenue, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson.

Police arrived at the 500 block of Eastern Boulevard at 2:52 a.m. Saturday and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds in a parking lot next to Sinix Bar, which had closed for the night by that time. The man, identified as Darryl Wilson Lovellette Jr. of an unknown address, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The weapon was recovered, and Wolfe was arrested at the scene, according to police.

Note: An earlier version of this story misidentified Wolfe's address as located in Catonsville. The story has been corrected. An earlier version of this story misidentified the victim as Wilson Lovellette Jr. The story has been corrected.

The 2400 blk of Wilkens Ave is not in Catonsville. Far from it...... in fact a world away. It is in Baltimore City. Please, when you write these stories get your facts straight.

Hi folks, this was picked up by another Patch editor as he was on during the weekend and I was off. The original story first said Catonsville, because it is 21229 and it is about a half mile into the city line. Us Catonsville residents know the difference, but if you don't live in this area and don't know where the city line is it can be confusing. The article has been updated and now says Baltimore. Sorry for the confusion! Penny Riordan, editor

It's a little more than a half mile, that would put you about the 3700 block.

My name is Cora and I am DeeJ's Step Aunt, This man that killed DeeJ is nothing more than a coward. DeeJ was a kind and loving person who cared about people and was loved by many. It does not matter if it was over defending someone or a pool game DeeJ did not deserve to die. He did not deserve what this coward Christopher Wolfe did to him. This man had no compassion or reguard for human life. He proved that when he murdered DeeJ. I hope he gets what he deserves whether it is life with out parole or the death penalty. Which ever one god chooses will befine with me. but which ever one it is I hope that he nevers gets to see his family again. he does not deserve to see his kids and they deserve better than having to grow up and know that their father murdered someone in cold blood. Christopher Wolfe had no reguard for DeeJ's life and had no reguar what his actions would do to DeeJ's family and friends and he had no reguard for what this would do to his own family. He let his anger control his actions just like a mad dog, and you know what you need to do with a rabbid dog right, you put it down. at least that is what I was always raised to beleive. I know DeeJ is in heaven, but I sure hope God has mercy on Wolfes soul because DeeJ's friends and family do not.

Deej was at my house till 2:30ish and If the police arrived at 2:52 and he was recently stabbed over a pool game then he was in sinix after closing time, I think the management at sinix should have to answer some questions about after hours partying at their establishment

He is apparently a new guest to the Maryland courts as an adult. Let's hope his potential list of crimes is stymied on his first encounter with the system. Too many thugs are allowed to ride in the revolving door of justice.

This is not his first run in with the system. He has had multiple issues. This is just his first major crime. I know Chris personally. I tried on multiple occasions to help him. I loved him before he got into all the crap that he did. My deepest condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss.
