Catonsville Crime: Robberies Reported at ATMs

The following are summaries of incidents reported in Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Attempted armed robbery: At 9:40 p.m. on June 17, a woman was standing at the ATM at 4656 Wilkens Avenue when a man approached her and pointed a handgun at her. According to the police report, the suspect approached the victim and demand money. When the victim said she had no money, the suspect ran away. Police described the suspect as a man with a black ski mask, a black shirt and dark pants.
Armed robbery: At 10:11 p.m. June 17, a man was withdrawing money at an ATM at 5642 Baltimore National Pike was approached by a suspect matching the description of the previous incident who demanded money. According to the police report, the suspect got into a white sedan and went north on Ingleside Avenue.
Third-degree burglary: Sometime between 7 p.m. on June 16 and 1:26 a.m. on June 17, someone broke into a home on the 3900 block of McDowell Lane. The building was vacant, but the suspect damaged the property.
First-degree burglary: Sometime between 10 p.m. on June 14 and 4 a.m. on June 15, someone broke into a home located on the unit block of Roberts Avenue. According to the police report, the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the house.
Second-degree arson: On June 13, someone intentionally set a 2003 Acura TL car on fire on the 200 block of Melvin Avenue.
First-degree burglary: Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on June 13, someone broke into the basement of a home on the 800 block of Braeside Road. According to the police report, the suspects stole a Toshiba laptop and a MP3 player.
