Baltimore Near Bottom of Christian Cities List
A survey showed that Charm City has one of the lowest rates of residents that identify as Christian.
Baltimore ranks toward the bottom of a survey that lists the most and least Christian cities in America.
Charm City ranked number 38 on a list of 52 cities based on the percentage of population that consider themselves adherents to the religion, according to The Huffington Post. The Baltimore-Towson metro area reportedly has 39,507 Christian adherents for every 100,00 residents.
The rankings are based on the study "2010 U.S. Religious Census: Religious Congregations & Membership Study" released by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies.
According to the study, Salt Lake City, UT, Birmingham, AL and Oklahoma City, OK are the three most Christian cities in America.
Portland, OR, Tampa, FL and Seattle, WA were listed at the least Christian cities in America.

Interesting article. I don't think it's accurate, however. Isn't Salt Lake City a predominantly Mormon city? That's the central city of their faith and the rest of Utah as well. I'm not an expert on Mormonism and could be wrong but I don't think they believe in the Diety of Jesus. If that's the case, they aren't Christians so how can Salt Lake City be in the top three Christian cities. It seems there is a lack of understanding of Christianity within the study. No disrespect intended to anyone.

Could be your own lack of understanding. The official name of the religion is The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mormons (Latter Day Saints) fit into the long list of Christian denominations and, principally, do, indeed, believe in the teachings of the Christian Prophet Jesus Christ, that he is the son of God and was sacrificed on the cross for the salvation of mankind's sins, and, as you suggest, may be the main reason Salt Lake City is tops on the heavily populated Christian city list.
So there you go.

You've got to be kidding me. Is my earlier comment all it took to squelch the religion freaks? Is it really that easy?
