Baltimore Metro Crime: Week of Sept. 7

Arbutus

Pikesville

Talk about grand theft—a $30,000 vehicle along with the electronics, credit cards and Ravens tickets inside, was stolen; police say a spare key in the glove compartment may have been a factor. Read more about crime in Pikesville Patch.

North Baltimore

A group of burglars was caught in the act by a homeowner, but ran off before they could be arrested. Read more about crime in North Baltimore Patch.

Towson

Burglars busted through a brick wall to steal copper wire and pipes from a business—probably a lot more effort than it was worth. Read more about Towson Crime.

Parkville-Overlea

A man arrested for allegedly burglarizing his own mother's home reportedly told her to "blame society" for the situation. Read more about crime in Parkville-Overlea Patch.

Perry Hall

Last week it seemed like we had a minor "hungry burglar" trend which continues this week in Kingsville where, in addition to cash, twenty-four bags of chips were stolen during a burglary. Read more about crime in Perry Hall Patch.

Lutherville-Timonium

A burglar stole several drawers full of narcotics from a pharmacy. Issues with prescription pills have become fairly common in the 21093 zip code in recent months. Read more about crime Lutherville-Timonium Patch.

The crime occurred in Baltimore Highlands, but was first reported in Arbutus Patch, which covers that community.
