ALDI to Open in Catonsville
The grocery chain plans to open second Maryland store on Baltimore National Pike business.
ALDI is coming to Catonsville in two weeks.
The discount grocer will be opening its new store on Baltimore National Pike on Friday, Feb. 22.
The store is going to be located at 6503 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville. According to the ALDI web site, it is a discount grocery chain which operates more than 1,000 stores in 31 states.
ALDI's web site said that the closest store to Catonsville is the one in Frederick. In fact, the Catonsville store will be just the second in the state.
The chain tries to offer its customers the highest quality items at the lowest possible prices.
And the public gets to come in starting at 9 a.m. that Friday.

Something is incorrect here. There are numerous Aldi stores in Maryland, including in Glen Burnie and on Washington Blvd.

Hilton, this is Patch. Accuracy, correct spelling, and actual reporting that involves actually interviewing people are optional.

Well, Walter, let me help you out a bit here. We were given the wrong information, which happens at times. And if you're concerned about the accuracy on Patch, why don't you contact me? I'd love to talk to you.

I see. So basically, you're handed a press release, which you type into Patch and put your name on top. I was under the impression that reporting included things like interviewing people, checking facts, and making sure that words are spelled correctly. In newspapers, when facts are reported wrong they usually print a correction or clarification. Here, you've left information that is factually incorrect. As has already been pointed out, the closest Aldi to the new Catonsville location is the Aldi store on Washington Boulevard. I guess being familiar with the territory that you claim to cover is also optional with Patch. I understand. You're a stenographer, not a reporter.
I'm not concerned about the accuracy of Patch. I think its accuracy, reliability and newsworthiness speaks for itself.

Well, the Catonsville Aldi is sort of a bust. I guess it will do in a pinch if a snowstorm is coming and you need BMTP to survive the oncoming onslaught.
