It only took a day for Ben Muñoz to move the entire contents of his skate shop A Way of Life across the street and a few doors down on Frederick Road.

But Muñoz said he feels like the new location is going to take the business to the next level. He moved most of the contents over the weekend and has been slowly unpacking and arranging the store's contents in the new space. The store is open for business.

"We wanted to grow the business," said Muñoz, who has had the shop for about three years. "This is a wonderful building."

Muñoz said he really liked the old building at 827 Frederick Road, but the new location at 816 Frederick Road gives his business more space.

"I have a lot of good memories from that place," he said, referring to the original location.

At the new location, Muñoz's shop is the front of the building, while the new Frederick Road Veterinary Hospital is around the back. The veterinary hospital opened in this summer after Catonsville couple Daniel and Lisa Zakai bought the building and renovated it.

Muñoz said he likes the wide windows and high ceilings. He has been able to set up a more appealing visual display of all the skateboard decks on the inside.

The store's hours will still be Monday through Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
